Ahmed serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). In this pivotal role, he is responsible for positioning and elevating Dubai as a top family tourism and shopping destination by organising world-class festivals and events. Ahmed leads the delivery, and consistent innovation of, the Dubai Retail Calendar, which aims to strengthen the emirate's retail sector through city-wide shopping festivals, mega-sales events, and exclusive world-class retail experiences. 

Under his leadership, DFRE has significantly enhanced its signature events, such as the Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Food Festival, contributing to Dubai's appeal as a must-visit destination. Before joining DFRE, Ahmed held leadership roles at the Dubai World Trade Centre, ascending to the role of Senior Vice President of the Venues department. Ahmed’s academic foundation includes a BS in Aircraft Engineering and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, USA.
